Lunchbox reissue their lost 00s classic Evolver

Lunchbox's lost "Evolver" album is lost no more! Out for the first time on vinyl, and remastered with bonus session tracks, this twentieth anniversary edition fills a crucial hole in the band's discography. "Evolver" fuses jangle and jungle, ambient and dub into a striking psychedelic pop statement. Marrying refined songcraft to the serendipitous magic hidden in half-broken reel-to-reel tape decks and vintage synthesizers, the LP plants its pop flag on the terrain of magic and mystery.

For this special and long-overdue reissue we've raided the bands vaults for three previously unreleased tunes that add extra dimensions to the album's uniquely trippy flow. And for the vinyl heads we're pressing this as a double LP for maximum fidelity and playability, including a *vinyl-only* fourth side of beats, loops, interludes and puzzling aural ephemera, all taken directly from the original master tapes. Super cool!

The Pains of Being Pure At Heart are touring! New repress is here!

Since its release in 2009 The Pains of Being Pure At Heart's self-titled debut has attained the status of a modern indiepop classic, and even more crucially a record that continues to have an impact well beyond the indiepop scene. The Pains paid tribute to everything from C86 to early Slumberland, Sarah and Creation label pop, but with a distinct American flavor drawn from groups like Smashing Pumpkins and The Pixies. This, their debut album, is a brilliantly confident blast of fuzz, melody, tunes and buckets of youthful enthusiasm that was immediately recognized as something very special indeed.

Now to celebrate its 16th birthday we're thrilled to announce a new repress of this classic on snazzy silver nugget vinyl. It's out now and selling fast; we've still got copies of both the CD and LP on-hand if your local shop is sold out.

Speaking of The Pains of Being Pure At Heart, how about a singles comp?!

Since we're celebrating The Pains and the fifteenth birthday of their debut album we thought that it would be a great time to round out the story of their early years, and so we're thrilled to announce the release of Perfect Right Now. PRN is a compilation that gathers up the much-loved (and LONG out of print!) b-sides from the 7"s that accompanied that first album, the follow-up "Higher Than The Stars" EP, a couple of scarce tunes from split singles, and finally "Say No To Love," a spectacular song that points the way forward to the band's next chapter.

There are some proper lost classics here, songs like "Kurt Cobain's Cardigan" and "The Pains of Being Pure at Heart" that still pack the dancefloors at indie discos from Göteborg to Glasgow and we couldn't be more excited to make them available again.

"Perfect Right Now" is out now on CD and as a gorgeous clear/blue/yellow splatter vinyl edition. Essential! Stock will probably be low in the shops and direct but we DO have copies for sale now and more on the way soon.

The Laughing Chimes return with their second album

On their spellbinding sophomore album, Whispers in the Speech Machine, the young Ohio siblings from The Laughing Chimes fully embrace their Southern Gothic influences, exhibiting how their approach to songwriting and sonic aesthetics continues to evolve. The eight assured songs on "Whispers in the Speech Machine" cannily balance the light of their infectious pop with the mood and atmosphere of their Appalachian environs and point the way forward for this captivating young band.

"Whispers in the Speech Machine" is out now on tape and as a striking purple & bone splatter vinyl edition. It's *very* good!
